These images were taken in both Denver, Colorado and Northern New Mexico. In making these images, I was drawn to instances of representation or likeness of the familiar human form and of our natural world through such artifacts as murals and signage. These representations struck me as both familiar and surreal, and as a body of work they remind the viewer of our collective solitude. This work is influenced by New Topographic movement artists including Stephen Shore and Lewis Baltz. All images were made with a 645 medium format analog camera and are color film scans.
